Position
 
Business Analysts are responsible for helping software development projects come to fruition. Besides spending a significant amount of time communicating, the Analyst will also design and build significant portions of the software applications. This position straddles both the business and technical realms.
 
Business Analysts are tasked with providing consistent client support throughout the project lifecycle. The Analyst provides a balance of functional and technical expertise and facilitates the analysis and design sessions with the client. The Analyst then implements the design using Salesforce declarative configuration and supporting the functional requirements for any further development required outside of declarative configuration.
 
The Analyst can present complex information equally well to a C-level audience or a developer community, has hands on experience implementing Safesforce.com functionality and can act as a knowledgeable liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders during the implementation phase.
 
Analysts can also support internal practice development efforts as needed, providing input on industry based expertise and idea generation for CodeScience intellectual property.  Business Analysts may also assist the sales team in vetting new opportunities and sharing knowledge during the sales process.

Duties & Responsibilities
 
  • Facilitate requirement gathering/interview sessions, synthesize requirements.
  • Significant involvement in the analysis phases of a project, collecting and documenting functional requirements, and understanding and possibly re-defining business process based on the capabilities of the platform.
  • Responsible for the creation of requirements and process documentation including functional requirements, business process requirements, technical design document, integration specifications.
  • Configure declarative portions of applications in Force.com.
  • Identify changes to project scope.
  • Provide full time support throughout the project lifecycle as a key member of the project team.
  • Support the design efforts by documenting suggested data models, technical process flows, integration specifications.
  • Primary resource responsible for all declarative configuration within Salesforce.com including security and sharing, object creation and definition, workflow and validation, approval processes, etc.
  • Responsible for supporting the client through User Acceptance Testing and any support for defect management during UAT process.
 
Desired Experience and Characteristics
 
  • College degree - better yet, you left college because it was slowing you down
  • 5+ years of software industry experience
  • Experience with declarative development and configuration of the Salesforce platform
  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Health Cloud a plus
  • Familiarity with web application design.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Ability to drive tasks to conclusion with others on your team.
  • Possess a client-focused attitude through conversations and documentation
  • Hands-on ability to set up reporting tools and build reports and ad hoc functionality.
  • Related certifications in Salesforce a plus.
  • Previous experience in consulting is a plus.
  • Experience working in teams following Agile methodology
  • Familiar with Agile process management tools such as JIRA/Confluence, Zenhub, Pivotal Tracker, Trello, Rally, etc.
  • Comfortable working with remote teams spread across multiple time zones.
 
Required Technology
 
  • Administrator, Advanced Administrator and/or App Builder Salesforce certifications
  • Completed and can describe multiple Salesforce CRM or Force.com implementations
  • Knowledgeable in the following CRM subject areas: Sales, Support/Service & Call Center, and Custom Application Development using the Salesforce platform.
  • Professional services consulting experience
